Sometimes love for God cuts me off from the world; I want to forget the world in noetic contemplation of the divinity of Christ. At other times love for man - sharing in his sufferings - pushes me into a senseless quarrel with God.

Christ, crucified for love of the world and for the sins of the world, is my ultimate love, the last ascent of my mind , the greatest daring of my heart, the only true God.
