Saint Peter was born into a noble family of Asia Minor in 829. He lived in Constantinople during the reign of Emperor Theophilus and entered the monastery of Daphneona. He died at the monastery of St Phocas in 867.
This St Peter should not be confused with the other St Peter of Galatia (February 1).
